Pies in the making Cooking in a saucepan

The Kitchen

All the raw ingredients used in the kitchen come from within the Centre itself. With the skills of our brigade of chefs and cooks we are able to produce culinary masterpieces in manageable quantities, using kitchen cupboard ingredients. The emphasis is on fresh local produce cooked in exciting and imaginative ways. We are able to react promptly to the changes in seasons, and trends and styles of our customers both new and old.

The kitchen services both the delicatessen and the Conservatory Barn Cafe. It also provides food for the first floor Conference Room and our own range of ready meals. The latest addition to the range is a game pie made with venison, pigeon and rabbit.

One of our signature dishes is the highly acclaimed Fidget pie which was featured in the September edition of the BBC Good Food Guide. From the day it was launched it has been an overwhelming success, closely followed by our traditional pork pie made in the old fashioned way.

For those with a sweet tooth, Shirley's cheesecakes are a 'must have' item.
